Arts Award Recognition:
The Bastrop County Cares program selected McDade ISD students Rebeca Solorio, Amy Martinez, Natilyn Baglioni, and Avalon Hallford as winners in the Bastrop County Local Food Fair art competition. Students submitted artwork at the end of last school year and will be honored at the event on November 10.

🎉 🏐 Congratulations to our Volleyball Lady Bulldogs! The JV team secured a fantastic win in 2 sets, while the varsity team triumphed in 3 sets! A special shoutout to our varsity girls, who will be playing a tie-breaker game this Friday against Holland for a playoff spot. Way to go ladies!

Due to periods of discolorations of water in and around McDade ISD and the surrounding community in McDade ISD will be putting the following procedures in place out of an abundance of caution.
McDade ISD will
* Perform weekly water checks of filtered fountains and cafeteria faucets.
- If the water is clear there will be no action taken.
- If the water is tinted and/or discolored the cafeteria will use water from a water cooler dispenser to prepare food and water bottles will be made available in district cafeterias during lunch times for students, faculty and staff.
*Water filters throughout the district will be changed monthly.
*McDade will continue to take water samples annually and send them to TCEQ for water quality analysis as required.
Our new process will start tomorrow. Currently the water in the district has cleared up but we will have water available for the remainder of the week during lunch times at all campuses. In future occurrences, water will be made available in cafeterias during lunch times until water from filtered fountains and cafeteria faucets are clear again.
