McDade ISD Superintendent, Heather Stidham, sent a letter to all parents in the district in the early morning hours of November 21, following a late-night investigation involving the Bastrop County Sheriff's Department concerning a threat made against the school that was found to be not credible.

👀Secondary Campus Week at a Glance November 11-15 👀
Congratulations to Jessica Dube, who took home reserve grand this morning at the Liberty Hill Cattle Jackpot. Way to go, Jessica!
On Wednesday, November 13, students on the elementary and secondary campuses will participate in online testing. Students in grades 3, 6, 7, and 8 will be taking the TTAP assessment - an assessment developed by TEA to potentially replace the STAAR assessment. This is McDade's third year to participate in the pilot program. High school students in grades 9-12 will take the TSIA college-ready assessment. There is an English and Math section in the TSIA. Students will only take the part of the assessment they have not previously passed. All secondary testing students will need a charged Chromebook and charger on testing day.
