McDade ISD Public Safety & Security Department provides campus safety & security for the district. McDade ISD Officers are Governmental Security Officers Commissioned by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) under a governmental letter of authority in addition to being Commissioned Peace Officers and maintaining an active Commission as a Peace Officer with a law enforcement agency to meet the requirements of Texas Education Code 37.0814. McDade ISD Public Safety & Security Officers are certified as School Based Law Enforcement by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE).
