Congratulations to Kelsey Dube who attended the San Angelo Livestock Show this past Thursday - Sunday. Kelsey showed her gilt Blue at the Junior Stars Gilt Show with a little help from her brother, Joshua Dube. Kelsey and Blue got sifted out before the ring but she represented McDade with great pride. Good luck at the next show!
Friday 2/9 was an eventful day for the McDade FFA Chapter!
We started the day off with a CDE contest in Belton, TX and ended the day at the San Antonio Rodeo for the Calf Scramble. The following are the results for the CDE contest: Jr. FFA placed 16th and 19th out of 24 teams in Livestock Judging, with
Tinner Stephens and Caleb Kvamme taking high point for the contest.
Senior Livestock Judging placed 55th out of 79 teams and Jessica Dube took high point for the contest. Senior Vet Tech Contest placed 27th out of 52 teams and
Ashlyn Carpenter took high point of the contest. Jessica Dube also competed in the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo Calf Scramble and she was able to catch and secure and certificate to purchase a heifer for next years show season.
Elementary families - Don't forget to send in picture money. It is due by Friday, February 16th.
