McDade FFA's Ashlyn Carpenter, Jessica Dube, and Alexis Pacheco participated in the Calf Scramble at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo! Jessica and Alexis both caught calves and are receiving scholarship vouchers to buy a project next year. Way to go, ladies!

The Athletics Boosters Easter Egg fundraiser is back!
The McDade High School Band wrapped up contest season on Tuesday by receiving straight 1's from all three Concert Judges and all three Sightreading Judges. The band performed a concert of three prepared pieces and then sight-read a piece they have never seen before to two panels of judges who all gave them the highest score possible!

Congratulations to the following AAVTC students who were selected as local winners of the VFW Voice of Democracy competition. Post 6115 will honor 1st place Ransom Stidham and 3rd place William Barnard with scholarships on March 6. Kaylie Ojeda who was 2nd place had her entry forwarded to another post and will be honored at a later date.
