Estimado residente del McDade ISD:

El 16 de febrero de 2023, la Junta Escolar de McDade ISD votó unánimemente para buscar la aprobación de los votantes para tres proposiciones de bonos. Este proceso ha sido un esfuerzo de la comunidad durante los últimos 18 meses con un Comité de Planificación de Instalaciones de Bonos. El Comité incluyó a ciudadanos, líderes de la comunidad, miembros de la junta, maestros y padres. El Comité dedicó varios meses a la recopilación de datos, evaluaciones, y la planificación para poner este paquete de bonos juntos. Este plan incluye la renovación y sustitución del sistema séptico del Distrito, mejoras de seguridad y protección, nuevas construcciones, renovaciones y compras de 
nuevos autobuses escolares y terrenos.

El asesor financiero del Distrito ha determinado que habría un aumento del tipo impositivo escolar para financiar estas tres proposiciones. En caso de que se aprueben todas las proposiciones, esto incluirá un aumento en la tasa impositiva de I&S del Distrito de 44.86 centavos por cada $100 de valuación. Para una casa valorada en $ 100.000 en McDade ISD, que sería un aumento total de $ 22,43 al mes.

A continuación se presenta un resumen de las propuestas que se incluirán en el referéndum sobre bonos y su impacto fiscal individual.

• Propuesta A - Construcción, renovación y rehabilitación del sistema séptico y las instalaciones de transporte del Distrito - $0.1272 de aumento en la tasa impositiva, o $6.36 por mes.
• Propuesta B - Construcción, renovación y mejoras a los edificios escolares del Distrito - $0.2776 de aumento en la tasa de impuestos, o $13.88 por mes.
• Propuesta C - Compra de terrenos para futuros edificios escolares - $0.0438 de aumento en la tasa impositiva, o $2.19 por mes.

Estamos pidiendo a todos los ciudadanos a ser educados sobre el bono. Es importante que su voz sea escuchada durante esta elección. Recuerde a sus amigos, vecinos y familiares a participar y hacer preguntas. Los residentes de McDade ISD tendrán la oportunidad de votar en el referéndum del bono comenzando con la votación temprana el lunes, 24 de abril hasta el martes, 2 de mayo de 2023, y el día de la elección, el sábado, 6 de mayo de 2023.

Dear McDade ISD Resident:

On February 16, 2023, the McDade ISD School Board voted unanimously to seek voter
approval for three bond propositions. This process has been a community effort over the past 18 months with a Bond Facility Planning Committee. The Committee included citizens, community leaders, board members, teachers, and parents. The Committee dedicated several months to data collection, evaluations, and planning to put this bond package together. This plan includes renovation and replacement of the District’s septic system, safety and security improvements, new construction, renovations and purchases of new school buses and land.

The District’s financial advisor has determined that there would be a school tax rate increase to finance these three propositions. Should all propositions be approved, this will include an increase to the District’s I&S tax rate of 44.86 cents per $100 valuation. For a home valued at $100,000 in McDade ISD, that would be a total increase of $22.43 a month.

A summary of the propositions that will be on the bond referendum and their individual
tax impact is outlined below.

We are asking every citizen to be educated about the bond. It is important to have your voice heard during this election. Remind your friends, neighbors, and relatives to get involved and ask questions. McDade ISD residents will have the opportunity to vote on the bond referendum beginning with early voting on Monday, April 24 through Tuesday, May 2, 2023, and on Election Day, Saturday, May 6, 2023.
