Melissa Maedgen – Secondary Special Education Teacher

I am excited about starting my eleventh year of teaching Special Education at Mcdade ISD.  Mcdade is a wonderful learning environment for students and a caring environment for both students and teachers!  My professional goal for this year is to create a more positive learning environment by celebrating teacher and student successes as often as possible.

Kirstin Simon – Elementary Special Education Teacher/District ARD Facilitator/TED

Hi! I am Kirstin Simon and this is my 5th year in Special Education and my 1st in McDade! I am so excited to be here and work with an amazing group of educators !

I have two bachelors degrees in Special Education from Youngstown State University in Ohio. From the age of 5 I wanted to be in education. I truly love what I do on a daily basis!

My husband Luke and I have 4 wonderful kids that all attend school here in Mcdade. They take up most of my spare time but I enjoy being outside and shopping when I can!

This is going to be a great year and I am so excited to see the growth that all of our kids are going to make!
