I am so proud to be a Bulldog at McDade ISD.  I have been overwhelmed at the wonderful accomplishments and milestones we have hit over the first semester this school year.  We started out with a healthy enrollment number of 335 students.  We were so excited to welcome many new staff and students to the McDade ISD uniqueness of offering big school opportunities with a small school experience.  The new staff and students have fit seamlessly into the community and learning environment.  We kicked off the school year with a welcoming and inviting meet the teacher night in August.  In October, we hosted numerous homecoming week events to celebrate our high school expansion and football team spirit.  We then turned to our community and helped promote and celebrate National Night Out on October 10 with the McDade volunteer fire department.  With the leadership of our school counselor, we celebrated National Red Ribbon Week to encourage students to live their lives drug and bully free.  We then looked back on our history and service to our country by hosting a Veterans Day Celebration Ceremony in November.  Our amazing student council has been busy as well with a canned food drive that collected 1550 items for the McDade Food Pantry.  The student council then started a “Penny War” to collect pennies for the Ronald McDonald House.  This staff, student body and community continually amaze me at the generosity and commitment that is shown to others.  I am truly honored to be your principal and looking forward to a great spring semester at McDade ISD.  I see only great things as we enter into the second semester of the school year.  The sky's the limit for Team Bulldog!
