Assistant Principal & Special Education Director
I grew up in a little town in East Texas called Whitehouse. Here I was involved in many clubs and extra curricular activies. After high school graduation in 2008 I spent a year at Tyler Junior College before transfering to the Universitiy of North Texas in Denton. While in college I majored in Interdisciplinary Studies and took extra classes in special education and ESL. During my senior year of college I was chosen to be apart of a research fellowship where we focused on the action of action research and later presented at a national conference in San Fransisco. After graduating in May of 2012, I moved to Bastrop Texas to be closer to the bulk of my family. After a year of teaching I knew I wanted to continue my education and began my Masters in Educational Leadership in January 2014 from the Graduate School at the University of North Texas. I graduated with honors from my masters program in May of 2015.

Currently I am the Assistant Principal and Special Education Director for McDade ISD. This is my first year in this amazing district, and I look forward to many more.
Prior to McDade ISD, I worked in Elgin ISD for 5 years. There I spent 4 years in Special Education (resource and life skills) and 1 year as a 5th grade math and science teacher. I enjoyed my time in Elgin and learned many things.
My family (husband Dusty, daughter Stevi, pups Bella and Molly, and baby Landri on the way) and I live here in McDade. My husband and I built a house and moved here in February of 2016. My husband, myself, and 1 year old daughter are members of a local church and truly love this town. We look forward to watching our children grow up in this great district.
